Man, Woman, 6-Year-Old Killed After Amtrak Train Crashes Into Pickup Truck In NY
Three people, including a young child, were killed after their vehicle was struck by an Amtrak train in New York.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. Friday, May 17 just north of Buffalo, in the Niagara County city of North Tonawanda.
According to North Tonawanda Professional Firefighters Local 1333, the train was heading northbound at the time in the area of Felton Street and River Road.

The owner of a popular Hudson Valley deli who died in an accident over the weekend is being remembered for his kindness and positivity.
Orange County resident Anthony Apostolico, age 48, of Chester, died on Sunday, June 19, when a tree fell on top of a pickup truck that he was a passenger in.
Police said the accident happened in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Stony Point.

The body of a missing New York man who disappeared while jogging during a trip to Virginia has been found.
According to Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith, the body of Bruce Rubin, age 61, of Westchester County, was found around noon on Monday, July 12 off a bluff in the Roaring Creek Gorge in Vesta, Virginia.
Rubin, the chief operating officer, and chief compliance officer of the multibillion-dollar investment firm Westchester Capital Management in Valhalla, was found by sheriff's deputies and Primland Resort employees who had been searching since he was reported missing on Friday, July 2.

A woman was killed following a fall after losing her grip while rock climbing in the Hudson Valley, police said.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9 in Ulster County at the Mohonk Mountain Preserve in Gardiner
An investigation revealed that Lauren Sobel, 25, of Brooklyn, was a lead climber in a group of three in the area of the Trapps Trailhead, State Police from the Highland barracks said.
Sobel was approximately 70 feet up the rock face and was setting protection gear in the rocks when she lost her grip and fell approximately 50 feet, police said.
