Holy Cross Church In Sleepy Hollow May Become Day Care After Sale
SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Holy Cross Church, located at 114-118 Beekman Ave. and 117 Cortlandt St. in Sleepy Hollow, has been sold for $685,000 to a buyer who plans on turning it into a day care tacitly.
The property is 16,500 square feet and consists of three buildings: an 8,000-square-foot church, a 3,669-square-foot rectory and a 5,000-square-foot parish hall.
“This is a very unique and historic property, and we are thrilled that the building’s value has been recognized,” said Garry Klein of Houlihan Lawrence’s Commercial Real Estate Group, who represented the seller.

Antoinette Gizzo, 59, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Antoinette Gizzo (Avellino), a longtime Yonkers resident, died at home Dec. 26. She was 59.
Gizzo was born Dec. 29, 1955 in the Bronx. For many years, she was a self-employed medical biller for Westchester County doctors.
She is survived by her husband Giovanni Gizzo; children Nick, John, and Rosanna Gizzo; and siblings Joe (Silvana) Avellino and Mary (David) Leach.
