'Twinkle And Friends' Entertain Kids At Paramus Mall
PARAMUS, N.J. – “Backstage” in Paramus will feature Twinkle and Friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westfield Garden State Plaza.
Twinkle and her friends bring a colorful, high-energy pop concert fusing education, language, arts and pop culture into the hottest kid's phenomenon. Complimentary performances will take place at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. in the Macy’s Court on Level 2.

William Uelen, 83, Wyckoff Resident
WYCKOFF, N.J. – William Uelen, of Wyckoff, died Tuesday, July 5. He was 83.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 825, Springfield. Most recently, he was employed by Tilcon NJ Inc., Prospect Park.
He was the husband of Jerrilyn (Norman) Uelen; father of Matthew, Christopher, Jerrilyn and William; grandfather of Bailey, Emma, Christopher, Kieran and Ellis; and brother of Helena Dykstra.
He was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude.

Elseth D. (Dotter) DeOld, 68, Fair Lawn Resident
FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Elseth D. (Dotter) DeOld, of Fair Lawn, died Sunday, July 3. She was 68.
Born and raised in Paterson, she had resided in Fair Lawn since 1971.
She was a member of the Westside Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood and V.F.W. Post 281 Ladies Auxiliary of Fair Lawn.
A graduate of Elizabeth General Hospital School of Nursing, she continued her education at Jersey City State College with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned a master’s degree from Hunter College in New York City.

Danbury's A Common Ground Offers Summer Yoga Camp For Youths
DANBURY, Conn. – Youths will have the opportunity to take part in a yoga summer camp Monday, July 11, through Friday, July 15, from 9-11 a.m. at A Common Ground Community Arts Center in Danbury.
Led by Denise Nobile, registered children’s yoga teacher at Youth Nation Yoga, the camp includes mindfulness activities, yoga postures, partner poses, yoga games, relaxation activities, and arts and crafts. Campers will learn relaxation exercises through breathing and learn to connect to themselves, others and the world.

John Paul Sorci, Wappingers Falls Resident, 89
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – John Paul Sorci, a native of Wappingers Falls, and more recently a resident of Palatka, Fla., died Saturday, July 2. He was 89.
Born on July 30, 1926, to John and Josephine (Cuchelo) Sorci, he was looking forward to celebrating his 90th birthday with his family.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a petty officer during World War II. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 4364 in Florida, and also the board of directors for the battleship USS Tennessee annual reunion.
