Dutchess County HS Graduation Rates Dip, Still Higher Than State

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. – Recently released state figures show that 2015 graduation rates for Dutchess County students dipped slightly from 2014, yet remain higher than statewide numbers, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Overall, the number of county students who graduated fell from 83 percent in 2014 to 82.3 percent in 2015, the Journal noted.

Statewide, 78.1 percent of students graduated on time, an increase of less than two percent over 2014, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Seven school districts in the area saw their rates rise, including a one percent rise for the Poughkeepsie School District, said the Journal.
