There's Still Time Left To Vote In Dutchess County

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- If you are reading this, there is still time to vote in Tuesday's election.

Election workers said unseasonably mild weather and dozens of contested elections helped bring more people than expected out to vote on Tuesday.

In Dutchess County, there are more than 175 seats open, ranging from county executive, 25 county legislative races, city elections in Poughkeepsie and Beacon and contested races in most towns.

Dutchess County voters of all varieties were out in force early, making their way to the polls on a busy, important, Election Day.

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Dutchess residents began heading to their local polling locations to cast their vote in several close county and local elections.
