Daily Voice spotted a few recently, and spoke with resident who said the displays have become a family tradition, which gets a little better every year.

Sandra, from Hopewell Junction, told us her family starts before Thanksgiving, and the impressive display that spans from the end of the driveway to the lawn and house, has become a labor of love for her husband, who puts it all together himself.

"We've been here for 25 years," she said. "And he's been doing this for about 18 years or so... every year we add a little more. People do come by a lot and look. They seem to love it, and we do as well."

April, a Stormville resident with a dazzling display, also said her family tries to mix things up. "We try to change it up a little every year," she said. "We love the hand-made soldiers. It's a special thing for us to do each year - inside too. Everyone loves it."
