Cardinal Dolan Helps Yorktown Celebrate Feast Of San Gennaro
YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Yorktown’s annual block party, the Feast of San Gennaro, was blessed with a visit from Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the archbishop of New York.
Dolan strolled among the crowds and posed for photos Saturday with Msgr. Joseph Giandurco, who he had just installed as pastor of Saint Patrick’s Church.
Other highlights of the four-day event included: traditional Italian foods such as zeppoles and sausage and pepper, a ferris wheel, red, green and white light arches, a procession with a statue of the saint, and performances from live bands.

'Hoptember' Celebration in Lagrangeville Will Feature Range Of Breweries
LAGRANGE, N.Y. -- Dutchess Hops, in Lagrangeville, will host "Hoptember" on Saturday, Sept. 10, showcasing a variety of local brews and eats.
The 21-and-over event will feature over 20 breweries, distilleries and cideries, local food, products from local farms, and local music.

Millbrook Community Day Features Parade, Hayrides, More
MILLBROOK, N.Y. -- Millbrook Community Day will return next Saturday, Sept. 10, and feature a wide variety of activities.
During the day, Millbrook businesses and restaurants will offer promotions. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Millbrook Farmers Market will be open and the high-school soccer team will host kids games on Church Street.
It will also be opening day for Town of Washington Soccer, at 9 a.m. at the town park.
