Driver Hit By Intoxicated Man Who Went Wrong Way On LIE, Nassau County Police Say
A wrong-way driver slammed into an oncoming vehicle on the Long Island Expressway in Roslyn, Nassau County police said on Sunday, May 18. Jorge Arias Reyes, 49, of Hempstead, was driving a 2009 Honda westbound in the eastbound lanes near Exit 37 around 6:40 a.m. when he struck a 2014 Toyota being driven by a 51-year-old man, according to the department’s Public Information Office. An investigation is underway after the remains of a dead man were found on Long Island. Nassau County Police detectives say officers responded to reports of human remains found at Hempstead Harbor in Roslyn just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10. One person suffered critical injuries in a three-vehicle crash involving an Amazon vehicle on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 24 in Roslyn. Two men, both age 47, were operating a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a blue Yamaha motorcycle when they collided with an Amazon van operated by a woman in front of 1600 Northern Boulevard.
