A man in the United States illegally was taken into federal custody after shoplifting from a Long Island mall, police said.
Rammeike Campbell, 27, of Queens, was arrested Monday, April 21, after he was caught stealing merchandise from both Macy’s and Forever 21 at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, according to Nassau County Police.
Campbell concealed items in a shopping bag and walked out of Macy’s without paying, police said. After being stopped by loss prevention officers, he was arrested by responding Nassau officers without incident.

A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of three Bronx residents after officers discovered the car they were traveling in was stolen, police said on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Officers pulled over a black 2017 Honda traveling northbound on Woodfield Road in West Hempstead after it made an unsafe lane change at 3:20 p.m., Fifth Squad detectives said.

A months-long investigation has led to the arrest of a man who is accused of forcibly touching a woman at a Long Island Stop & Shop.
Nassau County Police say the suspect was apprehended late Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, in Uniondale.
While inside the store in Merrick located at 2160 Merrick Mall, on Monday, July 8., he forcibly touched a 36-year-old woman before fleeing the store in an unknown direction, Nassau County Police say.

A group of teen boys was arrested after police said they stole from the same Long Island business multiple times.
The Merrick incident occurred on Sunday, June 16.
Just after 10:30 p.m. that day, Nassau County Police responded to Merrick Bicycles, located at 1829 Merrick Avenue, for a reported burglary.
When they arrived, authorities reportedly found and arrested three teens — ages 13, 14, and 17 — at the scene.

The chain of events happened on Friday, May 31, and began in Freeport, according to the Nassau County Police.
