A 21-year-old woman from the region faces charges of grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument for allegedly stealing and cashing a check. Dutchess County resident Zaniyah V. A 19-year-old man faces felony charges after allegedly striking a pedestrian with his vehicle and fleeing the scene in the region. On Thursday, Nov. 14, Lloyd Police arrested Elias M. Teen Duo Nabbed After Police Pursuit In Dutchess County
Two teens wanted for a variety of alleged traffic and vehicle violations fled from police before being nabbed in the Hudson Valley following a parking lot crash. The incident began in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, when two teens in a 2022 Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound on Route 9W fled from police in an attempted traffic stop and ended in Dutchess County in Poughkeepsie, According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers pursued the vehicle toward the city of Poughkeepsie and terminated the pursuit before entering the city. Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Raping 14-Year-Old Girl
A man has been charged with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl he befriended in the region. Ulster County resident Cung L. Phutin, age 28, of the town of Ulster, was charged on Friday, Oct. 11. According to Ulster Police Chief Kyle Berardi, the department initiated an investigation regarding a 28-year-old male engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl. Man Busted In Broom Handle Attack During Hudson Valley Incident
A man was charged with allegedly assaulting a woman with a broom handle and his fist, causing a head injury, during a domestic dispute in the region. Ulster County resident Harry J. Krom, age 42, of Kerhonkson, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 25, on Two Path Road in Wawarsing. An investigation alleges that Krom repeatedly struck a 45-year-old woman with a broom handle and closed fist. Hudson Valley Man With 32 Prior Arrests Charged Again With Burglary
A Hudson Valley man with 32 previous arrests has been charged again with burglary and criminal mischief. Dutchess County resident Jason Bohlig, age 45, of Poughkeepsie, was nabbed by the town of Lloyd Police on Friday, May 31. According to Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, Bohlig is accused of breaking into a home on Pancake Hollow Road and then running when the homeowner confronted him. He was arrested shortly after and is being held without bail at the Ulster County Jail. Bohlig is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, June 5.
