New Details Revealed In Fiery Parkway Crash That Killed Firefighter From Dutchess
New details are being unveiled about a fiery crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley that claimed the life of a beloved Army veteran and longtime Westchester firefighter. The crash, which killed 58-year-old Dutchess County resident Michael Fitzgerald of Fishkill, occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, just south of Route 301 in the Putnam County town of Putnam Valley, according to the New York State Police. Car Catches On Fire On Taconic Parkway
An early morning vehicle blaze sent up plenty of smoke on a busy parkway in Northern Westchester. The fire began on Tuesday, Nov. 12 around 6 a.m. on the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Briarcliff Manor, where a vehicle went up in flames, according to the Hawthorne Fire Department, which helped fight the blaze. Arriving firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire in the parkway's right shoulder. No injuries were reported.

Dutchss County Hudson Valley Traffic Stop Leads To Large Fentanyl Seizure: Police
A man from the region was allegedly nabbed with more than 103 grams of fentanyl during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, on the Taconic State Parkway in Pleasant Valley. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, state police stopped a 2018 Jeep Cherokee for traffic and vehicle laws. Hicks said an investigation determined the driver, Larrington Henry, age 33, of the Bronx, was in illegal possession of approximately 103 grams of fentanyl. Victims ID'd After Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In Dutchess County
Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road.
