Northeast Cities Among Most Diverse In US: Here's What A New Study Says The US population is rapidly diversifying, with cities in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic at the forefront, according to a new study. WalletHub released its 2025 ranking of the nation's Most Diverse Cities on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Three Maryland communities topped the list of 501 locations, which were evaluated based on socioeconomic, cultural, economic, household, and religious diversity. Wegmans Food Markets officially opened its Lake Grove supermarket at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The 101,000-square-foot store is located at 3270 Middle Country Road in the DSW Plaza at Lake Grove. This is the first Wegmans location on Long Island, joining 49 other locations across New York. 21-Year-Old Man Convicted Of Attempted Rape Of 13-Year-Old In Hudson Valley A 21-year-old Connecticut man who was apprehended after driving to the Hudson Valley for what he thought would be sex with a 13-year-old child has been found guilty, officials announced.  The conviction of Fairfield County resident Francisco Gomez of Norwalk for attempted rape was announced on Wednesday, Aug. 28 by Putnam County District Attorney Robert Tendy.  According to Tendy's office, Gomez used social media to entice a 13-year-old child from Putnam County to engage in sexual activity with him.
