A 56-year-old Hudson Valley man was caught with controlled narcotics and an illegally possessed weapon following an investigation into threatening messages, police said. Putnam County resident Kevin Willis of Southeast was arrested on Friday, Oct. 18 around 3:45 p.m. after he was found with narcotics and a firearm he was prohibited from having, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Reports that explosives were found outside the New York arena where former President Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally were unfounded, police said.
