State Trooper Injured After I-84 Crash In Danbury Causes Hours-Long Closure
A Connecticut State Police trooper was injured after an overnight crash that caused a three-hour closure on a stretch of I-84. It happened in Fairfield County just after 9 p.m. Friday, June 14, in Danbury. The 41-year-old trooper was inside her cruiser with the emergency lights activated at the scene of another accident on the shoulder on the westbound side between Exit 8 on and off ramps. Fatal Overnight Crash: 57-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Danbury
A 57-year-old Fairfield County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a rock embankment. The incident occurred in Danbury around 7:30 p.m., Monday, June 10, in the area of 39 Brushy Hill Road. According to Erin Henry, a spokesman for the Danbury Police, Charles Preston, of Danbury, was found in the roadway by patrol officers who responded to a reported accident in the area. New information has been released regarding an incident in which two boys and two girls were apprehended by police after crashing in Fairfield County.
