Violent Stabbing Near High School In Region Leads to Multiple Arrests
A 16-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after being stabbed multiple times near his high school in the region. The incident occurred on Buckley Street around 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, in Sullivan County's village of Liberty. According to Liberty Police Chief Steven D'Agata, officers responded to Liberty High School after the injured teen had entered school grounds seeking help after being stabbed. An occupant of a BMW SUV was seriously injured during a crash in the Hudson Valley that also involved an alleged home burglary and a police pursuit. The incident began in Bergen County, around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, in Closter and ended in Rockland County, in Palisades, a few minutes later with a violent crash that rolled the vehicle and landed it back upright. A 30-year-old man has been charged with allegedly taking New York State Police on a pursuit on the Taconic Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County in Pleasant Valley around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2014 Ford Taurus northbound on the Taconic Parkway for violations of the vehicle and traffic law. A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man is dead after being hit by an SUV while allegedly engaging police in a pursuit. Orange County resident Noe Dominguez, of New Hampton, a small hamlet in the town of Wawayanda, died around 7:20 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at the intersection of Route 6 and Dolson Avenue in Wawayanda. Two men were apprehended following a police pursuit that ended in the parking lot of a busy Northern Westchester shopping center. The incident began on Thursday afternoon, June 6 when two Ossining Police officers tried stopping a vehicle on Main Street.
