Police ID Man Killed In Late-Night Minivan Crash In Orange County
A Brooklyn man was killed late Tuesday night, Dec. 10 when his van veered off the road and struck an embankment in Monroe, authorities said. Ulugbek Yunussov, 62, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler van that left the roadway and struck an embankment on Larkin Drive around 11 p.m., NY State Police said. Yunussov was extricated from the vehicle as EMS began lifesaving measures. Yunussov was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in serious condition but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation. Driver Flown to Hospital After Truck Rolls Over On I-84 In Hudson Valley
An interstate in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed after a truck overturned, injuring the driver. The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 10, when a truck crashed on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 just east of Route 312 in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department. As a result of the crash, the driver became trapped inside the truck's twisted structure. A 46-year-old man was killed while riding his motorcycle next to his son on a busy interstate highway in the region. The crash happened on Sunday, Aug. 11 just after 9:30 a.m., when a man lost control of his motorcycle on northbound I-684 near Exit 4 in Bedford, according to New York State Police. A Hudson Valley man was seriously injured after being ejected from a vehicle and trapped underneath the car during a crash. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, near the Palisades Parkway Exit 9W/Thruway. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, troopers who responded could not locate a vehicle crash. Two people were killed in a crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer on the New York State Thruway. The crash happened around 8 a.m. Thursday, May 23 in Albany.
