NJ Hockey Player, 19, Dies In Fiery Route 80 Crash
A 19-year-old hockey player from Bergen County was killed after his car caught fire on Route 80 in Warren County on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 1, authorities said. At 8:21 p.m., a Hyundai SUV driven by Carmine Argenziano was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Hope Township when it veered off the right side of the roadway, hit multiple trees and then caught fire, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A man who was involved in a minor crash on the New York Thruway was killed when he stepped out of his vehicle to inspect the damage and was struck by a 2018 Ford SUV. Saul Clark, 55, of Paterson, New Jersey, had gotten out of his vehicle in the southbound lanes of I-87 in West Nyack when he was struck by the passing SUV driven by a Nyack woman just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said. This story has been updated. A Hudson Valley man was killed when a juvenile backing an SUV into a driveway accelerated and hit the victim. The incident occurred in Orange County at 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the village of Kiryas Joel in the town of Monroe. Car Engulfed In Flames On Parkway In Hudson Valley
A vehicle fire prompted an early morning response on the Taconic State Parkway. The blaze happened on Saturday, Oct. 19 around 8:30 a.m. in Northern Westchester, when an SUV caught on fire on the southbound side in Hawthorne. Arriving fire crews soon found the vehicle consumed by flames and quickly hosed it down, putting the blaze out completely. The response took around an hour and sent plumes of smoke up into the air on the parkway, as seen in images of the fire released on the Hawthorne Fire Department's social media page. No injuries were reported.

An SUV plowed into the front of a Hudson Valley home after being in a crash with a school bus. The incident occurred in Rockland County on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Laurel Road and Glenside Drive in New City. According to the Clarkstown Police, the SUV struck a Clarkstown Central School District bus while turning left onto Laurel Road. One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened at around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, July 27 on a stretch of I-84 in Orange County. A 3-year-old girl from Westchester was killed after being struck by an SUV while crossing the street in New York City. The incident happened just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11 in Manhattan at West 135th Street and Lenox Avenue, outside of Harlem Hospital. A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man is dead after being hit by an SUV while allegedly engaging police in a pursuit.
