Copper Pipe Thieves Caught In Action At Rockland County Building, Police Say
Two Hudson Valley men were nabbed while allegedly stealing copper wire and pipes in the basement of a building. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 2:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at a building on Patriot Hills Drive in Stony Point. According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, officers responding to the building on a suspicious person call could power tools being used inside. The officers, with help from Stony Point Police detectives and Rockland County Sheriff's deputies, were able to call two men out of the building without incident. …

Two 22-year-olds face a long list of charges after allegedly stealing mail from residences in the Hudson Valley, including several checks, authorities announced.
