Car Bursts Into Flames, Shuts Down I-84 Stretch In Hudson Valley
A stretch of Interstate 84 in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed to traffic after a car went up in flames on the shoulder. The blaze happened in Putnam County on Saturday evening, Sept. 21, when a vehicle caught on fire on Interstate 84 West in Brewster, according to the village's fire department. The blaze caused a stretch of the interstate to shut down briefly as crews worked to put out the flames. Trapped Driver Rescued After Crashing Into Swamp In Hudson Valley
A driver was flown to a hospital after crashing into a swamp in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, Sept. 18 around 8:15 p.m., when a vehicle left the roadway at the intersection of Route 6 and Route 312 in Brewster and crashed down a 20-foot embankment into a swamp, according to the Brewster Fire Department. Car Flips On Roof In Hudson Valley Crash
A car overturned following a crash on a road in the region. The incident happened just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Northern Westchester when the car flipped on the eastern half of Colabaugh Pond Road in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department. Arriving first responders found that the driver had managed to escape the vehicle on his own. The driver later declined a trip to the hospital after being evaluated. A dog was shot and killed after attacking an 8-year-old girl, critically injuring her and a 39-year-old woman in the Hudson Valley. A man on an outing with his family at Harriman State Park drowned after jumping into the lake and swimming about 100 feet away. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 18, at Lake Sebago in Stony Point. According to Trooper Steven Nevel with the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that Carlos G. A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man died after being found unresponsisve in a home pool. The incident occurred in Orange County around 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15 on Meadow Streeet in the town of Newburgh. According to Lt.
