22-Year-Old Goes Over 100 MPH During Street Race In Carmel: Police A 22-year-old faces criminal charges after they were caught traveling at high speed during an alleged street race on a busy Hudson Valley road, police said.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Aug. 18, when a Carmel Police officer saw an apparent street race occurring at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road, the department said on Tuesday, Aug. 20.  One of the vehicles was seen going faster than 100 miles per hour, the department added.  This car was immediately stopped and the 22-year-old driver, a Mahopac resident whose name has not been release…

Kathy Hochul announced that extra patrols will be on the lookout for drunk and drugged drivers over the Fourth of July weekend. Man Arrested, Issued Over 60 Tickets After Leading Officers On Pursuit In Hudson Valley: Police A 28-year-old man was hit with criminal charges and more than 60 traffic tickets after leading authorities on a pursuit through a Hudson Valley shopping center and several neighborhoods, police said. The arrest resulted from an incident in Putnam County on Saturday, May 11 around 10 p.m., when a Carmel Police officer saw a motorcycle with a blocked license plate near the Mahopac Village Center and tried pulling it over, according to the department.
