Road Rage: Putnam Man Points Gun At Victim, Calls Him Racial Slur, Police Say A Putnam County man faces charges after allegedly pointing a firearm at another driver while calling him a racial slur in Westchester, police said.  The arrest resulted from an incident in Yorktown at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, when New York State Police relayed a report about a road rage incident in Yorktown, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Hudson Valley Man Caught Spray Painting American/Israeli Flag, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was caught in the act of allegedly defacing a joint American/Israeli flag with spray paint, police said. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the Monsey area of Ramapo. According to Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, a patrol officer spotted the man wearing a face mask while walking on Main Street in Monsey. Duo Charged With Hate Crimes After Attacking UPS Driver In Hudson Valley Two men have been charged with alleged assault as a hate crime after attacking a UPS driver while using racial slurs and attempting to steal the keys to his vehicle. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, on Spook Rock Road in the village of Montebello. According to Ramapo Police Chief Daniel Hyman, the driver was struck by a water bottle thrown from outside the vehicle.
