I-684 Reopens After Serious Crash In Hudson Valley (Update) This story has been updated.  Part of Interstate 684 in Westchester County has reopened to traffic after a serious crash that caused significant traffic disruptions.  All northbound lanes of I-684 near Exit 4 in Bedford have reopened as of 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, following a crash that happened at mile marker 15.8, New York State Police said. The crash caused traffic to be temporarily diverted at Exit 4.  No additional details about the crash, including possible injuries, have yet been released. There are unconfirmed reports that a pedestrian was struck. …

Van Plunges Into Lake In Hudson Valley Firefighters had to ensure no hazardous fluids entered a Hudson Valley lake after a van plunged into it. The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, July 30, when a van drove into Lake Mahopac on South Lake Boulevard, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. After the incident, crews used hazardous material absorbent booms around the van to absorb any potential vehicle fluid leaks as it was removed from the water.
