A vehicle struck an overpass on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester on Thursday morning, Sept. 4, causing delays. The incident happened at around 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, when a vehicle traveling north hit the Manville Road/Pleasantville Road overpass on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Pleasantville, according to 511NY traffic reports. A crash involving an overturned truck and resulting fire caused major delays on Interstate 84 in Putnam on Tuesday morning, July 15. The crash happened east of Exit 61 (Route 311) in Patterson at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, according to New York State Police and 511NY traffic reports. A stretch of Route 22 in Putnam County is closed as a result of flooding. The stretch of Route 22 in Patterson between Route 164 and Haviland Hollow Road is currently closed as of Monday, July 14 at 5:45 p.m., according to 511NY traffic reports. Bear Mountain Bridge Reopens After Closure From Police Activity (

Both directions of the Bear Mountain Bridge over the Hudson River have reopened to traffic after closing on Wednesday afternoon due to police activity. The closure began just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, according to traffic data from 511NY. All lanes in both directions were closed. As of 3 p.m., they have reopened. According to New York State Police, a person in crisis had been threatening to jump off the bridge. However, they were eventually safely taken to Westchester Medical Center. Wrong-Way Driver Killed, Two Teens Seriously Injured On Route 304: Police (

A head-on collision caused by a wrong-way driver on Route 304 in New City left one man dead and two teenagers seriously injured on Monday, Dec. 23, Clarkstown Police reported. At approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Route 304 and Second Street. Preliminary investigations revealed that a 35-year-old man from Ohio, driving a 2010 black Hyundai sedan, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when he collided head-on with a 2013 silver BMW.
