Oceanside Singer Aims To Perform National Anthem At Every MLB Stadium
New York’s Ali Berke is hoping for a grand slam of her own. The 23-year-old Long Island resident, from Oceanside, is crisscrossing the country on a mission to perform the national anthem at all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums. She got the wild idea after landing a singing gig at Boston’s Fenway Park before a Red Sox game in 2023. “Me and my dad started thinking, 'how cool would it be if I could sing at all 30 MLB parks?'” Berke told Daily Voice. Former Iona University Basketball Player Chosen To Star On New Season Of 'The Bachelor'
ABC's "The Bachelor" franchise has announced its next star. His name is Grant Ellis, and he's a 30-year-old day trader with New Jersey and New York roots. The Houston, Texas resident initially competed on this season of "The Bachelorette" starring Jenn Tran, who grew up in Bergen County. Ellis was eliminated just before Tran picked her final four. Missing Long Island Boy May Be With 'Suicidal' Father, Authorities Say
Authorities are searching for a 5-year-old boy who may be in danger after going missing from Long Island. Henderson Calderon Carranza was last seen on Tuesday, July 9 in Central Islip, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. On that day, the boy was spotted on East Elm Street at 11 a.m. and is believed to be with his father, Jose Calderon Arias, who authorities said may be suicidal. The two may be in a black sedan and could be headed to Houston, Texas. Henderson, who has autism, stands at 3-foot-2 and weighs approximately 55 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes. …
