Drunk Suspect Bites, Spits On Cop During Long Island Arrest, Police Say A 27-year-old man is accused of assaulting a police officer during an arrest on Long Island. Officers were called about a domestic disturbance at a home in Roosevelt shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. Nassau County Police said a 39-year-old woman told officers that Joshua Williams, age 27, was intoxicated and breaking items in the home. Bike-Riding Suspect Injures 5 Officers During Long Island Arrest, Police Say A Long Island man is accused of injuring several police officers during an arrest. The incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in West Hempstead. Nassau County Police said officers were called to a restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike for a disturbance involving a man and woman. A witness told police that 27-year-old Luis Taborda Corrales, got into an argument with a 26-year-old woman that escalated before he fled on a bicycle.
