Heart damage and blood clots a year after survivors shake off COVID-19 have shown that the effects of the virus extends well beyond the initial infection, a new study says. According to the study, even people who never showed enough symptoms to be hospitalized with the virus are in danger of developing heart failure or potentially deadly blood clots a year later. 19 Report Card For Schools
A new type of “report card” is coming to New York schools to provide parents and teachers up-to-date information on the spread of COVID-19 during the pandemic. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced during a COVID-19 briefing on Tuesday, Sept. 8 that he is signing an Executive Order that will require schools, local health departments, labs, and other testing sites to provide the state with information regarding the virus. 19: Pandemic Taking Toll At Maryknoll, A Dozen Deaths Of Priests, Nuns Reported
A religious community in the area has been hit particularly hard by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. At least three nuns and nine priests have died at the Maryknoll religious community in Ossining due to COVID-19, while dozens of other staff members have tested positive for the virus.
