Cops ID Body Found By Hiker At Vanderbilt Mansion
Police have identified the body found by a hiker near the Vanderbilt Mansion last month. Helen Pardini, 69, of Poughkeepsie, was found dead at the historic site in Hyde Park around noon on Friday, Dec. 6, New York State Police said. New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks previously said the body was found lying face down near the east shore of the Hudson River south of Bard Rock. A 32-year-old man has died after jumping off the Bear Mountain Bridge into the Hudson River, New York State Police report. New York State Police responded to the tragic incident on Saturday, Dec. 28, after receiving reports of an individual jumping off the Bear Mountain Bridge. Tappan Zee Bridge Toll Set To Increase: Here's When, How Much
Drivers crossing the new Tappan Zee Bridge will soon face a higher toll, according to the New York State Thruway Authority. The increase will go into effect on Wednesday, Jan. 1, with a 50-cent hike to the base NY E-ZPass toll rates and tolls-by-mail that began in 2024 and will continue each year through 2027, when it hits $7.75. The annual price increase means E-Z pass users will begin paying $6.75 on New Year's Day. A missing person has been found dead in the Hudson Valley . The incident occurred in Rockland County at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Nyack. According to Orangetown Police Capt.
