Popular Hudson Valley Restaurant Closes After 10 Years
A popular Hudson Valley restaurant quietly closed its doors with just a note on the door. Diners ready to eat at the P.F. Chang's in Rockland County at The Shops at Nanuet found the restaurant closed over the Labor Day weekend. A sign on the doors directed visitors to locations in Westchester County, located in White Plains, and Hackensack, New Jersey. Calls and emails to P.F. Chang's have not been returned. A fugitive member of an organized retail theft crew from more than 50 miles away was brought to New Jersey after being captured across the state line in Rockland, authorities said. State Police have released the identity of a man killed along with his dog in a three-vehicle crash on the Palisades Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The crash took place in Rockland County around 10 p.m., Thursday, April 13 in Clarkstown. A Rockland man surrendered to police who charged him with beating a worker at a Bergen County Italian restaurant, authorities said. A New Jersey instructor with a competitive Irish dance organization sexually assaulted three boys, a trio of lawsuits filed in Hackensack charge. Two unlicensed moving companies from Rockland were snagged in a New Jersey undercover sting that cost them $2,500 each, authorities announced Monday. Hackensack police officers seized more than $137,000 in cash and marijuana from a Philadelphia man during a motor vehicle stop, authorities said. On Friday, July 13, members of the Hackensack Police Narcotics Division pulled over Jose Diaz-Velez, 38, on Hudson Street, Captain Peter Busciglio said. The officers found marijuana and cash suspiciously packaged inside of his white Jeep Liberty, the captain said. Diaz-Velez was charged him with one count of transporting or possessing property and possession of marijuana, and transported to the Bergen County Jail, Busciglio said.
