Recall Expands For Brand Of Mirrors Due To Laceration Hazard
IKEA is expanding a recall of a brand of mirrors due to a laceration hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the plastic fittings of the recalled IKEA LETTAN mirrors that attach to the wall can break, causing the mirror to fall, posing the risk of laceration to consumers.
The initial recall for about 22,400 mirrors was issued Thursday, March 16.
On Thursday, Nov. 9, IKEA announced another 14,600 mirrors are now being recalled.

A recall has been issued for a brand of steam irons due to fire, burn, and shock hazards.
About 317,000 Steamfast Home & Away Travel Steam Irons and Brookstone Steam Bug Travel Steam Irons sold in the US are subject to the recall by Vornado, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.
The power cord can become damaged near the cord bushing, which can lead to overheating of the cord, posing fire and burn hazards. In addition, cord damage near the bushing can result in exposed copper wires, posing a shock hazard, the CPSC said.

A company has expanded a recall for gas kitchen ranges because its ovens can emit dangerous levels of carbon monoxide while in use, potentially causing serious injury or death, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
