Trio Nabbed In Hudson Valley With Illegal Gun After Dispute, Cops Say
Three men were charged with alleged possession of an illegal handgun after a dispute in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County in the village of Maybrook around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5. The gun was discovered after the town of Montgomery Police responded to Rakov Road in Maybrook for a reported dispute with a gun, said Chief John Hank of the Montgomery Police. Hudson Valley Man Commits Suicide As Officers Attempt To Stop Him, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man shot himself in the head while state police worked to prevent him from doing so. The incident took place in Orange County around 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the town of Mount Hope. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, Orange County 911 dispatched the state police and the Town of Mount Hope Police for a reported potential suicide. A 23-year-old man is alive thanks to the quick work of several area police officers after a car fell on top of him. The accident took place in Orange County at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, when police received a call that Justin Muller was pinned under a vehicle that had fallen while he was working on the vehicle, Town of New Windsor Deputy Chief Michael Farbent said. A large fight involving more than 30 students at a Westchester school ended with four arrests. The fight broke out around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday on the campus of the Graham School at 1 South Broadway, in Hastings-on-Hudson, near the Odel Cottage, according to Hastings-on-Hudson Police Lt. An anonymous report of a gunman on the roof of a building in Westchester brought out a heavy police response on Monday night. Police received the call around 7:58 p.m. Monday with the caller stating that a man with a gun was on the roof of 28 Caryl Ave. in Yonkers, said Sgt. Jared Singer. Suffern Man Punches Woman In Face In Front Of Children
A Suffern man is behind bars after punching an ex-girlfriend in the face repeatedly while violating an order of protection, according to Suffern Police. Jorge Muyudumbay, 31, was arrested Sunday when officers responded to an Orange Avenue home after a woman called to complain that she had been assaulted by an ex-boyfriend.
