Jean D. Crescenzo, 94, Mount Vernon Resident
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y.-- Lifelong Mount Vernon resident Jean D. Crescenzo died Tuesday, Dec. 15. She was 94.
Crescenzo worked for Consumer Reports, the Mount Vernon Board of Education at Mount Vernon High School and A.B. Davis Middle School. She retired in 2011. She enjoyed cooking Italian food.
Crescenzo was born in 1921 to Anthony and Elsie Palmiero in Mount Vernon.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis.

Alexander Smith Jr., 71, White Plains Resident
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-- Alexander "Lex" Smith of White Plains died Friday, Dec. 11. He was 71.Smith was born April 28, 1944, in Bryn Mawr, Pa., to his Betty-Jeanne and Alexander Smith, Sr.
Smith worked as an accountant and was vice president for Transamerica Corp.
Alexander is survived by his daughters, Christine, Amy and Jennifer; and by his son, Jonathan.

William 'Bill' Valko, 82, Lifelong Yonkers Resident
YONKERS, N.Y.-- Lifelong resident William "Bill" Valko died Sunday, Dec. 13. He was 82.Valko graduated from Saunders High School. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for New York Telephone Co. He was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Church in Yonkers.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Valko (nee Lash); his son, Andrew; his daughters, Eileen (Dennis) Barry, Karen and Dianne; his sisters, Dolly Bernacki, Terry (Tom) Kaps and Barbara Valko; and his brothers, Thomas and George.

Rae A DiRienzo, 82, Lifelong New Rochelle Resident
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.-- Rae A. DiRienzo, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died Tuesday, Dec. 15. She was 82.
DiRienzo was born Dec. 6, 1933, in New Rochelle to her parents Pasquale and Rose (Cerreta) Aloise.
DiRienzo worked for more than 30 years as a telephone operator for Sound Shore Medical Center and was an active member of the Hugh Doyle Senior Center.
Her husband, Clement, died in 1980. She is survived by her children Roseann Plank, John DiRienzo, Valerie Jordan, Glen DiRienzo, and Dawn DiRienzo and six grandchildren.

ARDSLEY, N.Y.-- Katherine Poulos, 86, of Ardsley, died Saturday, Dec. 12.
She received a paralegal degree from Mercy College. She was an avid Wall Street Journal reader.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Poulos, and her sister, Georgia Chugranis.
She is survived by her son, Andrew and his wife Nina of Salt Lake City, Utah; her daughter, Denise of Rye, N.H.; and her sister, Marie Kearns.

PORT CHESTER, N.Y.-- Margaret Watson, a resident of Port Chester, died Dec. 13. She was 75.
Watson is survived by her son, Angus Watson and his wife Stacey; her brother, Thomas MacKinnon; and her grandsons Raymond Cappabianca and Ryan and Dylan Watson.
