A Long Island man convicted of holding up a gas station — and two prior felonies — has learned his fate.
Marion Maupin, 33, of Ridge, got 20 years to life for his latest crime, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said Wednesday, July 15.
Maupin led a two-man team that robbed a Shell station in Yaphank around 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2025, according to police. His accomplice, Raiquan Davis, watched the door while Maupin pointed a loaded handgun at the clerk’s head, investigators said.

Lindy Jones, 44, was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to weapons possession, the Queens District Attorney’s office said.
Jones and Guy Rivera were inside a car in Far Rockaway on March 25, 2024, when they were approached by Jonathan Diller and other NYPD officers, according to authorities. Rivera pulled a gun and shot Diller, a Massapequa Park father of two.

A Long Island man was arrested for a home invasion on Tuesday morning, July 14, police said.
Muneshwer Udit, 53, of Valley Stream, broke into another residence in the town around 9 a.m., the Nassau County Police Department said.
Udit took “assorted items” from the house and fled the scene, but police quickly identified him as a suspect and announced his arrest Wednesday, July 15, according to authorities.
