The Ramapo Police Department has issued an alert to Rockland County motorists that the NYSDOT has determined that a “no left turn” restriction would be implemented on Route 202 for traffic turning onto Lime Kiln Road or Spook Rock Road.

Officials noted that by the end of the week, a variable message board would be placed on the roadway in advance of the permanent change. The “no left turn” signs are scheduled to be installed no later than Thursday, Sept. 14. Police said that the message board would then be changed to inform drivers of the new restriction.

Police have advised motorists that previously used those turns to either turn before the intersection at Wilder Road, or afterward at Old Haverstraw Road or Grandview Avenue, depending on their destination.
