Expect Delays: Traffic Alert Issued For Gran Fondo Race In Ramapo

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo residents should be ready for plenty of traffic delays, but also quite a show when the annual Gran Fondo Bicycle race takes place Sunday.

Residents can expect a few thousand bicyclists traveling through the area as the race passes through town beginning at 9:45 a.m. and ending around 2:30 p.m., said the Ramapo Police Department.

Routes 202 and 45 are the only roads that have been noticeably impacted by the event in the past, police said.

Residents are encouraged to use alternate routes and expect delays.
