Tragic Incident In Region: Man Electrocuted After Vehicle Entangles With Electrical Wires A 28-year-old man from the region was killed when his car became entangled in downed electrical wires. The incident occurred in Sullivan County on Friday, Nov. 22, at about 6:20 am, in the town of Callicoon. According to Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies at the scene found a gray 2015 Chrysler 300, which had approached a downed tree across the roadway and then attempted to turn around.  While making a U-turn, the vehicle became entangled in electrical wires connected to a nearby utility pole. Loud Exhaust Leads To Gun Charge For Man From Region, Police Say A 34-year-old man from the region has been charged with alleged possession of a loaded gun after fleeing from police during a traffic stop for a loud exhaust. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 11 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the area of the old Leisure Time water company on Route 42 in Lake Kiamesha.
