Three men - including the gunman - from Poughkeepsie have pleaded guilty to their roles in the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old man in Newburgh before taking police on a high-speed chase. Poughkeepsie residents Steven Williams and Donnell Johnson, both 24, had faced murder charges, but Williams pleaded guilty in Orange County Court this week to reduced charges that include manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. Town Of Newburgh Police Ask For Help Identifying Gas Station Armed Robbery Suspect
The Town of Newburgh Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a man who robbed a Valero Station at gunpoint. The robbery took place around 11:18 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21 at the Valero Station, 209 S Plank Road in the Town of Newburgh, said Lt. James Nenni. The suspect entered the store and displayed a black semi-automatic handgun, which was used to threaten the clerk. Suspect Nabbed In Newburgh Stewart's Shop Armed Robbery
An 18-year-old area resident was arrested for an alleged armed robbery at an area store. Micke C. Fields, of Clintondale, was arrested on Thursday by the Town of Newburgh Police and charged with an armed robbery that took place around 5:30 a.m. at the Stewart's Shop on Route 52 in Newburgh, said the Newburgh Police Department. He is being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. The Town of Newburgh Police Department was assisted by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, the URGENT Task Force, and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.

The Town of Newburgh police is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in connection with an armed robbery. The robbery took place around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Stewart Shops, at 407 S. Plank Road in the Town of Newburgh, Lt. James Nenni said. A motorcyclist driving on the wrong side of the road was killed after striking a vehicle head-on Tuesday night in the Hudson Valley, police announced Wednesday morning. A 21-year-old woman has been charged in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Orange County. The pedestrian was found just after midnight Friday in the area of 247 Broadway when an officer was flagged down for a person who had been struck by a vehicle, said City of Newburgh Police Sgt. A 52-year-old man has been charged following a years-long investigation into a suspicious 2013 house fire in the Town of Newburgh, police announced Sunday.
