The Orange County incident happened Friday, Aug. 19 in the Town of Crawford. A 1995 Chevy van operated by Shawn Dehann, age 33, was traveling eastbound on Route 17K when he entered the intersection with Route 302, Crawford Police said.  A 2005 Chevy Equinox operated by Samantha Meyer, age 42, of Pine Bush was traveling southbound on Route 302 and collided with the van at the intersection, according to police. Jolene Roy, 45, of Pine Bush, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Feb. 13, to grand larceny and tampering with public records in the Town of Crawford, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office. At the time she pleaded guilty, Roy admitted that between May 1, 2017, and Dec. 31, 2018, she embezzled funds from Crawford that she had received as town clerk. The pilot of a 1989 Bell 222A helicopter that crashed in the area said the chopper experienced an engine failure causing the crash and for the helicopter to overturn. The crash took place around 12:38 p.m., Saturday, March 30, near 77 Youngblood Road in Bullville, just west of I-87 in the Town of Crawford in Orange County.  The six onboard, five passengers, who were celebrating a birthday, and the pilot, suffered minor injuries, Crawford Police said.
