Police Asking Public For After Man Found Dead On Hudson Valley Street
Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help after a man was found dead on a city street. The incident took place in Rockland County around 1:10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 29 in Spring Valley. According to Sgt. Brandon King, of the Spring Valley Police, the department responded to the area of 55 N. Myrtle. Ave., for a report of CPR being performed on a man due to an unknown medical emergency. A person was injured after being struck by an MTA train in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 in Spring Valley. According to MTA officials, the person was struck by a train departing Spring Valley Station at the Dutch Lane crossing. A 33-year-old Hudson Valley man has been sentenced for sexually abusing a child over the course of several years. Holger Chuya-Andrade, of Spring Valley, was sentenced to 20 years to life on Monday, Nov. 21, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh announced on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Some 20 people escaped a roaring fire at a Hudson Valley home that was reportedly being used as an illegal rooming house, but a dog perished. The fire started in Rockland County around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, in the village of Chestnut Ridge at 510 Chestnut Ridge Road. Vehicular Homicide: Rockland Man Charged In Hit-Run That Killed Driver On GSP
Police have arrested a Rockland County man who they said was responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 77-year-old motorist on the Garden State Parkway a year and a half ago. Christopher Forrest, age 26, was charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in the death of Dutchess County resident Howard Perlman on June 17, 2021, according to records obtained by Daily Voice. State police are investigating after a school bus carrying students on a field trip swerved to avoid another bus and crashed into a guide rail on a busy Hudson Valley roadway.
