Target To Close Stores In 4 States, Including NY, Citing Theft, Organized Retail Crime
Citing incidents involving violence and theft, Target announced it is closing nine stores in four states, including one in New York.
The New York store is in Manhattan, at 517 E 117th St.
Three other stores are in California, in the San Francisco/Oakland market, and three in Oregon, in Portland.
The other two stores are in Seattle, Washington.

Rats have gone from lurking in the shadows to literally taking over some streets in New York City, according to a new report.
The New York Times reported on Wednesday, May 22 that rat sightings are up 38 percent from 2014, citing data from OpenTheBooks.com. There were 12,617 sightings reported in 2014, a number which has jumped to 17,353 just four years later.
According to the report, in that same time period, during that time frame, the number of time city health inspectors found active signs of rat activities has nearly doubled.

Nearly 43 million Americans are expected to mark the unofficial start of summer on a high note with a Memorial Day weekend jaunt, making it the second most traveled since AAA began tracking travelers in 2000, only behind 2005.

The Westchester resident and founder of "Proud Boys," recently labeled a dangerous extremist group by the FBI, isn't so proud after all.
Gavin McInnes, 48, of Larchmont, co-founder of Vice Media, stepped down as leader of Proud Boys, saying the group "is not racist. It is pro-Trump. The media lies about this club constantly."
