5 From Region Nabbed On Weapons Charges During Stop Five people were nabbed on alleged weapons-related charges during a traffic stop in the region. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, on Route 17K in the town of Bloomingburg.  Trooper Steven Nevel said troopers noticed a 2017 GMC Yukon traveling westbound on 17K, violating numerous vehicle and traffic laws. Troopers, with the assistance of the Wallkill Police Department in Orange County, made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Capital Region resident Albert Blowers, age 48, of Rensselaer, Nevel said.  While interviewing Blowers, troop…

Suspects Caught After High-Speed, Two-County Chase Ends On Route 17K Click here for an updated story: Pair charged in armed robbery after 125 mph police chase ends at a diner in Orange County.  Three people are in police custody after a high-speed chase through Sullivan and Orange counties ended off Route 17K in Bloomingburg on Friday afternoon. The chase involving a Jaguar began after a robbery at an AT&T store in Monticello. The names of the three and the charges against them have not yet been released as the investigation continues.
