A suspect was able to escape police following a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened in Rockland County on Sunday, Jan. 26, when the suspect was pulled over in Spring Valley on North Main Street, according to New York State Police. Witnesses told The Monsey Scoop that the suspect was reportedly found to be wanted by the Clarkstown Police Department. A crash on I-87 in the Hudson Valley blocked multiple lanes for hours on Monday, Jan. 27. The incident happened in Rockland County on Monday, Jan. 27 at around 11:05 a.m. on I-87 South in Ramapo, according to 511NY. The crash temporarily left the left and center southbound lanes blocked and caused stop-and-go traffic in the area. The lanes have since reopened to traffic. 2 Pulled From Wrecked Car In Rockland
Two people were rescued after a vehicle slammed into a pole in the Hudson Valley, leaving it tipped on its side. The crash happened in Rockland County on Saturday, Jan. 25 just after 9:30 p.m., when a car hit a pole in Nyack on Old Mountain Road near North Midland Avenue, according to the Nyack Fire Department. Arriving fire crews pulled two trapped people from the wreck with help from the Central Nyack Fire Department. New York State Police have identified a 21-year-old Rockland County man killed in in a single-vehicle crash in Ulster County. Randolph E. Quintanilla Revolorio, of Nanuet was killed around 6 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, on I-87 southbound near Exit 19 in the town of Ulster, State Police said. Drivers crossing the new Tappan Zee Bridge will soon face a higher toll, according to the New York State Thruway Authority.
