Double-Fatal House Fi2 Killed, Including 1-Year-Old Girl, After House Fire Breaks Out In Region A mother and her 1-year-old daughter were killed in a large house fire in the region that left another child and a man were seriously injured. The blaze broke out in Dutchess County in the town of Clinton at 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, troopers responded to a residential house fire with the East Clinton Fire Department on Clinton Hollow Road in the town of Clinton. According to Ten-X, the 121-room Holiday Inn Express in Dutchess County on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie will be auctioned on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The company-owned property was originally put up for sale in 2020, but it was pulled due to the pandemic and market plunges.  Ten-X says the property is offered unencumbered by management and debt. Assailant Flees Scene After Woman Stabbed In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley woman was stabbed during a fight between two groups of people on a city street.  The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, on Montgomery Street in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Lt. Sean McCarthy of the city of Poughkeepsie Police, Donyae Paris Andrews, age 24, of Poughkeepsie, received non-life-threatening injuries to her arm during the attack.
