Agitated Man Blocks Hudson Valley Roadway With Truck, Camper, Refuses To Move, Police Say A 53-year-old man was taken to an area hospital for a mental evaluation after he blocked an area roadway for more than 90 minutes after parking his truck and camping trailer across the road. Items Stolen In Hudson Valley Home Burglary Have Been Sold On Facebook, Police Say State Police are asking the public for help locating items that were allegedly stolen from a Hudson Valley home during a burglary. The incident took place in Ulster County on Friday, Sept. 16 in New Platz on Route 373. "Some of the proceeds of this burglary have been sold on Facebook Marketplace," state police said. Jumper Update: Man Parked Car Below Hudson Valley Bridge, Walked Up, Climbed Span, Police Say A man who survived a jump from a Hudson Valley bridge had parked his car below the bridge and walked up the bridge before climbing on a span and jumping. The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Newburgh around 8:45 a.m., Wednesday, June 15. Responding officers spotted the man in the water near the mid-bridge span, said Lt. Peter Talarico, of the town of Newburgh Police. "The man was moving and waving his arms," Talarico said. "He was attempting to swim toward the Newburgh shoreline."
