Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Rockland County A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of the area. The warning, which went into effect at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, covers most of Rockland County and parts of Northern Bergen County. (Areas in red in the image above from the National Weather Service.) At 2:58 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Ramsey, New Jersey, moving northeast at 10 miles per hour.
