New Arrest Made In Library Parking Lot Assault In Hudson Valley
Two Hudson Valley men have been charged in connection with an assault.
The incident occurred in Orange County, in the municipal parking lot of the Newburgh Free Library, 124 Grand St., on Sunday, May 19.
According to City of Newburgh Chief of Staff Mike Neppl, detectives arrested Marcos Luna-Dedios, a 34-year-old City of Newburgh resident, on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
Last week, on Wednesday, Sept. 4, Yomar Carreras, age 24, of Newburgh, was the second person arrested in connection with the attack, Neppl said.

A 25-year-old man is dead, and another was critically wounded during a shooting in the Hudson Valley.
The incident occurred in Orange County around 11:30 p.m., Monday, May 13, in the area of 33 Hasbrouck St., in the city of Newburgh.
According to Mike Neppl, spokesman for the city of Newburgh, officers responded and found two victims: a Rock Tavern resident, a hamlet of New Windsor, dead from a gunshot wound, and a 20-year-old resident of New Windsor in critical condition.

A popular Hudson Valley ice cream shop is temporarily closed after an alleged drunk driver crashed his Infiniti Q70 into the building.
The incident took place in Orange County around 4:55 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Mary Janes Dairy Bar in the town of Newburgh.

A Hudson Valley man was shot dead in broad daylight while attempting to purchase a motorcycle off of Facebook Marketplace.
The incident took place in the Bronx around 3:40 p.m., Wednesday, May 18 at East 144th and Exterior streets in Mott Haven, said the NYPD.
The victim, Rockland County resident Jefferson Jimenez Hernandez, age 20, of Spring Valley, was found unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to the head, NYPD said.

An area man was arrested for allegedly shooting a woman and then fleeing from police.
Anthony Nash, age 34, was arrested around 5:30 a.m., Saturday, April 24, when the City of Newburgh Police received a gunshot notification from ShotSpotter in the area of Montgomery Street and Clinton Street, said the Newburgh Police.

Two City of Newburgh men were nabbed for drug sales following a months-long investigation into their activities, according to Newburgh Police.
Daryl Qu Johnson, aka, Daryl Qu Maise, 53, and Heath S. Black, 50, were arrested around 6:40 p.m. Thursday, May 17, when City of Newburgh Police officers, along with the New York Police Community Stabilization Unit, conducted a search warrant at a storefront located at 198 Broadway, said Sgt. Christopher Lahar.
