A line of severe thunderstorms is sweeping through the region from the west to the east. The storms are accompanied by heavy downpours, rumbles of thunder, and lightning strikes. There will be a threat of severe storms in much of the region with damaging winds, flash flooding, hail, and isolated tornadoes possible. Although it's been quiet and muggy with some peeks of sunshine for most of the day on Sunday, June 25, scattered showers and thunderstorms began forming in the middle of the afternoon.
