By a 14-0 vote on Wednesday afternoon, May 12, the CDC panel recommended the use of the Pfizer vaccine in children 12 and up, with the decision now moving forward to CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky for final approval. Virus May Join Seasonal Illness Landscape, Experts Say As the coronavirus spreads, there are more questions than answers, but an expert says since most cases aren't life-threatening, it makes the virus even more challenging to contain. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Tuesday, Feb. 25 that a coronavirus outbreak is likely coming to the United States.
