Popular Hudson Valley Deli Sold After Decades In Business
After 36 years in business, a popular Hudson Valley deli has been sold after the owner retired. Rockland County's Dee's Country Deli at 51 N Liberty Drive closed on Friday, March 1 in Stony Point after owner Tom Sayre announced he was retiring. According to a notice on the building, Sayre said he was closing to pursue the next chapter of his life. "Your loyalty and friendship are appreciated more than you know," the sign said. 14-Year-Old Riding Motorbike Killed In Crash With Plow Truck In Hudson Valley
A 14-year-old boy who was involved in a crash with a plow truck in the Hudson Valley has died from his injuries. The accident occurred in Rockland County around 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13 in the area of N. Liberty Drive and Wayne Avenue in Stony Point. According to Lt. Greg Becker, the teen was riding a motorbike when he collided with a privately owned plow truck. The victim was treated at the scene by Rockland Paramedics and Stony Point Ambulance Corp, and then transported to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he died on Wednesday, Feb. 14, Becker said. Man Critically Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash Rushed To Westchester Medical Center
A man is in critical condition following a three-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The crash took place in Rockland County around 11:15 a.m., Thursday, March 23 in Stony Point in the area of 103 North Liberty Drive. Officers arriving on the scene found an 82-year-old man from Orange County had sustained serious injuries, according to Lt Greg Becker, of the Stony Point Police.
