Karen McCorkle Consolini, 92, passed on January 13, 2024 at the Moorings at Lewes, a continued care retirement community in Lewes, DE, where she had resided since 2010. Born in 1931 in Tulsa, OK to Maxine Elizabeth Boesche and John Morris McCorkle, Karen grew up in Pasadena, CA, graduating from South Pasadena High—where she also served as Senior Class President—in 1950. Karen was a smart, brave, independent, and liberated young woman of the ‘50s. Gilgo Beach serial murders suspect Rex Heuermann, who sits behind bars charged with the killings of three women on Long Island, has been formally charged with murdering a fourth victim. Heuermann, age 60, was arraigned on a second-degree murder charge in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Jan. 16, in the killing of Maureen Brainard-Barnes. The then-25-year-old disappeared in July 2007 while working as a sex worker.
