19: 29 New Cases Reported At School District In Westchester
A school district in Westchester is contending with a new spike in confirmed COVID-19 cases as the region does battle with the spread of the Omicron variant of the virus. Irvington Schools Superintendent Kristopher Harrison issued an alert to the community advising that the district has reported 29 new COVID-19 cases between Thursday, Jan. 6 and Monday, Jan. 10. 19: New Positive Case Reported At High School In Westchester
A Westchester high school is set to reopen for in-person learning this week despite a newly confirmed positive COVID-19 case in a student or staffer. Irvington Schools Superintendent Kristopher Harrison issued an alert on Thursday, Jan. 14 advising that a member of the Irvington High School community has tested positive for the virus. More than 50 school superintendents throughout the Hudson Valley met with New York State officials to discuss contingency plans as concerns mount over the spread of the novel strain of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Old Croton Aqueduct Stabbing Suspect Remains At Large
The search is on for a suspect who stabbed someone near the Old Croton Aqueduct in Dobbs Ferry on Tuesday. Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, police received a report of a verbal altercation that turned physical, with one party stabbing the other before fleeing, police said. The incident prompted a manhunt that was joined by several area law enforcement agencies on Tuesday afternoon. The victim was treated for the stab wound before being transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
